For this year Turin’s ARTWEEK, viadellafucina16 – the first international experiment of condominium-museum – opens its doors to the city showing the results of the first intense months of incubation, which already became an inspiring model for other projects that are coming to life in Turin and other parts of Italy.

The condominium, meeting point between the public and the private domain, place of democracy and conflict, opens its spaces to promote a new model for sharing, exchange and openness towards diversity, starting a process of transformation and collective knowledge, mediated by the power of art, beauty and care.
There are four initiatives in the programme taking place from October 31st in the building’s common spaces.

At the ground floor, in the space Idiòt, it will take place the group exhibition “I ragazzi di via della Fucina”, with works by 24 international artists under35, selected in between the 442 participants of the residency open call.

Thanks to the collaboration with NESXT, the festival of independent spaces directed by Olga Gambari, from October 26th it will be on show “THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME”, a collection of posters in the hall of the condominium-museum.

The same group invited the artists Calixto Ramirez e Josè Angelino to create a site-specific intervention inside the workshop Fucina16, in front of the condominium’s big garden.
To end, on the first floor it will be possible to attend at the making of “Assemblea di Condominio” by Francesco Maluta, artist in residence at viadellafucina16 since a few weeks already.

The opening will be on Tuesday 31st of October, at 5:30 pm.

Sunday November 5th, at 6 pm, viadellafucina16 will be inside ARTISSIMA bringing a public moment of debate and reflection with the members of the Scientific Committee: Luisa Perlo (A.Titolo), Ilaria Bonacossa, Mario Cristiani, Ilda Curti, Alessandra Pioselli, Anna Pironti, Pier Luigi Sacco, Catterina Seia and Brice Coniglio (ConiglioViola), creator and artistic director of the project.
